NOT A TYRANT
God is not a tyřañt.
He doesn’t bǔlly, intǐmidate or boss around His children into obedience or submission to His Will.
All His instructions are actually given to us for our protection, although we may not know it then.
They are not given to harm us or bring us pain.
Even His acts of discipline, rebuke and correction are not given essentially as punitive measures but as corrective and redemptive measures to stop us from straying further away from the way of life and to bring us back to our senses and the right path.
The painful chastisement we experience causes us to rethink our choices and rework our decisions.
God’s rebuke is fundamentally restorative in nature.
God’s favor is perpetually and unconditionally given to those He has elected or chosen to salvation.
This is what makes the good news extremely good.
It is an electrifying and exhilarating proclamation!
The Father chastises His children when they do things that are wrong and out of character.
He being Spirit communicates His guidance within their holy hearts through His Spirit within them.
He has also communicated His Will and instructions clearly in the written documentation of Scriptures.
In His providence, He also uses circumstances to chisel and cultivate the shape and seeds of godly character within us so that we develop wholly.
If we understand this, we will see it all as a beautiful process and embrace the power and beauty of our chastening or character-building experiences.
Do you now see the importance of knowledge as it affects our personal perspective and participation in the process of our own progression from spiritual or emotional immaturity to more holistic maturity.
Contrary to what some people think or teach, God is not a sǎdist who takes pleasure in our pain.
“For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”
