ALL THE LOVE

AYRA STARR: ALL THE LOVE

One of my favorite 9ja female artistes.

There are not many of them. Tems is one.

Recently, Ayra released a beautiful song about love.

The song is titled: All The Love.

The lyrics are great—the song is about true love.

About caring for the man she loves.

About knowing the value of the man.

Not about se’xuality and spending.

Not about mating and materialism.

That girl is a really smooth operator.

It’s either the words of a good woman who genuinely cares about a good man.

Or it’s the empty sweet talk of a sly seductress looking to woo and entice a man to herself.

Her lyrics communicated love for a special man.

Her dressing however usually communicates something different: a scantily-clad seductress.

Her dance moves sometimes suggest same seduction.

But at other times, she is sporty and a cutey.

Giving the excited cheerleader vibe.

This is me being very honest. No judgments.

That’s why I’ll rather listen to the audio version of most of her songs than watch the music videos.

Maybe it’s her style and from her upbringing.

Or it’s just marketing stunt for her music brand?

The music industry is all about vibes and fun.

Nothing real, deep, meaningful and concrete.

But this song seems deep, beautiful, meaningful.

Anyways, Don J did a great job discovering her wonderful talent and launching her into stardom.

I hope her momsy and our music don keep guiding and shielding her from the sharks and hawks.

Good thing, she may not be the typical spec of many of them in this clime.

I say she is a great artiste and good entertainer.

She has been so passionate and determined to be successful; and she’s now living her dream of being a globally recognized star.

More importantly, behind the crazy or provocative dressing, it seems she has a beautiful heart.

Or let’s say, a free spirit and reverberating soul.

Her soul shines forth in her personality and songs.

Below are the lines of this song I consider great:

She starts with these salient words:

“I don’t need nothing from you

Your beautiful heart is a muse

I’ve been reckless with my choices

Can’t seem to get what the point is

Life can be rough, can be smooth

And not every fact is the truth

Advancing, I’ve laid down my burdens

Can’t seem to silence the voices.”

A young lady whose lyrics have matured with time.

This is indicative of deep musings and thinking.

She continues in this her beautiful song (the first chorus):

“But one thing is certain, I’ll be that person

Wey go be your shoulder buddy, bestie anything

Your type no many, they are not ready

I go give hundred percent, never no ninety

More than amazing, pęlu quality

You’re deserving of the love you are not getting.

Independently, I’ll take the liberty

And I go love you specially o.”

Wonderful lyrics that express genuine care.

Very few ladies, in my opinion, can say this to a man and really mean it. Commitment and dedication.

The other verse reads:

“Them go wan know, them go wan know

Why you so colorful, them go wan know o

Percussive melody for my chest

Can’t get a hold of myself

E-yea-yea

I dey hope say you dey feel the same way

I’ve been low, the money no fit change me

You be gold, we’re dancing osadebe

Many, many tales to tell, oh

(After this, she repeats the first chorus)

Then the wonderful second chorus goes thus:

All the love

All the care

Dem dey fake am

(Normally o)

“Don’t be hard

Baby give in

I will love you

(Specially o)”

Music 🎵 🎤🎧

This is good music, girl. Award-winning music!

Ayra Starr is one gifted lyrical and on-stage genius.

The little lady is a mighty musical bomb!

See me noting her lyrics, lol.

It’s hard for me to do this thing:

To write down the lyrics of a song.

Haba! Not me. Not done so in decades.

It feels like she was talking directly to me. E enter!

Now, that’s the beauty and power of good music.

Ayra, why na? No do like this o. Calm down!

Kudos and big congrats are due, girl.

I like Ayra and it’s absolutely nothing se’xual.

I don’t really like how she dresses sometimes.

I’m even somewhat ashamed of it sometimes.

But I think she’s got a pure and beautiful soul.

Looking at her deeply, she’s connected to her soul.

I don’t know if most 9ja folks appreciate her music.

Maybe that’s why she has to get their attention with eye-catching and attention-grabbing costumes.

That’s what I think the dressing is: stage costumes.

I don’t think she dresses like that in real life.

I’ve seen some of her everyday appearance and it’s different—the casual Gen Z cool and classy wears.

A lively, funny, agile and intelligent young woman.

Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe.

Sweetness (honey) pours or is dropped into wealth.

That’s the meaning of her Yoruba first name.

An exact depiction of her life and destiny.

May she not lose her inner light and inner beauty.

May her path lead to heights of peace and truth.

May she stay connected to her spiritual mojo!

Keep soaring, wonder lady!

God bless!🌹 👍🏽
