THE GIANT WARRIOR


The reason Goliath the giant warrior defied and despised David is that he didn’t really know there was Omnipotent Spirit (Almighty God) behind that ordinary-looking little boy who stood before him.

Every wickedness, lawlessness, transgression, wrongdoing, evil or error is a fundamental lack of (particularly, Spiritual, God-taught or Spirit-revealed) knowledge, wisdom and understanding.

A fundamental ignorance problem.

A knowledge deficit.

As Christ said about His betrayers, accusers, conspirators, tormentors and executioners: 

“They know not what they do.”

They don’t know what they’re doing.

Simply put, they are ignorant.

But these were mostly men who knowledgeable in the ways of the world and possibly masters in the earthly craft and culture of their time.

So that’s not the kind of ignorance or lack of knowledge that are we dealing with here.

It’s spiritual ignorance.

Many great men are truly spiritually ignorant.

Many captains of industry and leaders in society are fundamentally ignorant about God’s Truth.

They are unaware of God’s Purpose and Plan.

Like Goliath, many giants are fundamentally clueless and unaware of what life is really about, who God really is and what they are dealing with in their particular or personal situations.

Many people wallow in utter ignorance.

Even the people who think they know what they are doing by reason of their intentional acts of carefully planned conspiracy and masterminded manipulation of others and of factors in society.

In the final analysis and grand scheme of things, they will be found grossly ignorant of God’s Plan.

Let’s conclude this piece with this Scriptural passage from 1 Corinthians 2:6-10 (Amplified):

Yet we do speak wisdom among those spiritually mature [believers who have teachable hearts and a greater understanding]; but [it is a higher] wisdom not [the wisdom] of this present age nor of the rulers and leaders of this age, who are passing away; but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom once hidden [from man, but now revealed to us by God, that wisdom] which God predestined before the ages to our glory [to lift us into the glory of His presence]. None of the rulers of this age recognized and understood this wisdom; for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory; but just as it is written [in Scripture],

“THINGS WHICH THE EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND THE EAR HAS NOT HEARD,

AND WHICH HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN,

ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, who obey Him, and who gratefully recognize the benefits that He has bestowed].” 

For God has unveiled them and revealed them to us through the [Holy] Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things [diligently], even [sounding and measuring] the [profound] depths of God [the divine counsels and things far beyond human understanding].

WHY TRUTH?

  The following are questions that I have been curiously asked by some of the people who have read or heard what I write or say, over the years: “Why are you saying these things?” “Why are you sharing (biblical but unconventional) truths?  “Are you a pastor?” Let me break them down them into different possible thought processes that have generated them: In other words:  Who gave you the authority to say these things?  What (moral, spiritual or positional) right or ranking do you really have to speak publicly about them?  Are you holy, righteous or anointed enough to say things that obviously challenge (albeit in a non-confrontational way) the religious status quo? SCRIPTURE IS INERRANT AND SUFFICIENT

  The Holy Scripture is inerrant and sufficient. Inerrant simply means incapable of being wrong. Sufficient of course means enough or adequate. To deny the inerrancy of Scripture is to call into question and cast doubt on the God revealed in the Scripture, on Christ who died, rose and is coming back as Judge and King, and on man’s salvation from eternal damnation which is solely based on the Cross and Work of Christ, the Word of God.  Scripture is either true or the God of the Bible, who is the God of love and righteousness, mercy and justice, grace and truth, revealed by and in the Lord Jesus Christ as “Our Father who is in Heaven” is not real but a fable or figment of man's imagination.  The Bible is the absolute truth of God. Albeit misunderstood and misused by so many in the false profession and practice of Christian religion for inglorious purposes and transient benefits, the Bible is essentially about the Gospel of Christ, which is the power of God unto salvation to everyone
