IDENTITY


Identity is basically who or what a person or thing is.

Like physical identity, spiritual identity is basic and core to a person.

Knowing who you are is totally important to being yourself. 

Never pander to the muddled identities of a society or social setting that has no true moral compass or standard set of values, laws or norms which are sacrosanct.

Don’t be lost in the crowd of blurred identities.

Knowing identity defines boundaries and capacities.

It clarifies roles and responsibilities.

It also elicits expectations. 

It may or may not be necessary to tell other people or some persons, depending on the value of the information to the persons involved in any given situation or interaction.

However, you must know it for yourself regardless of the circumstance you find yourself in.

Ignorance of self or one’s identity is fundamental ignorance.

Self awareness is a very important and powerful component of life.

It’s not humility for a lion to think it’s Mickey Mouse.

It is confusion for an apple tree to think it’s an orange tree, and vice versa. 

A medical doctor, a lawyer and an engineer are what they are by requisite training or qualification.

A carpenter, plumber, mason or mechanic also have their skills by reason of their vocational learning.

Your thinking and training, both physically and spiritually, are critical to how you communicate, learn, interact, serve, impact and connect with people and things around you.

Spiritual awareness begins with the knowledge of God (His Nature, Kingdom, Purpose or Will), as well as the knowledge of oneself (from one’s depravity to one’s redemption and partaking in the Divine Nature of God and Glorious Eternal Inheritance), also capturing the meaning of this life and the reality of Eternity. 

A believer is one who has been made so by the Lord. It is not an ambiguous title conferred on anyone who fills out his name in the new converts card or the membership form of a church assembly. 

Scripture is the standard to check spiritual identity.

Christ is the true identity of a true believer.

But who is Christ? Do you know Him?

This should help direct your thoughts and quest to seek to know Christ by going to the Scripture.

WORSHIP!

  What is Worship? Worship is reverential adoration and devotion. It is the deeply embedded heart attitude and habitual practice of holding highest regard, giving supreme adulation, paying unparalleled homage, rendering foremost service or according topmost dedication to someone or something.  Human beings were designed to worship. This means, we are all naturally wired to be devoted to something or someone we reckon or perceive to be most grandiose or to be the greatest Thing or Being worthy of our keenest attention, truest affection, deepest love and highest loyalty. SCRIPTURE IS INERRANT AND SUFFICIENT

  The Holy Scripture is inerrant and sufficient. Inerrant simply means incapable of being wrong. Sufficient of course means enough or adequate. To deny the inerrancy of Scripture is to call into question and cast doubt on the God revealed in the Scripture, on Christ who died, rose and is coming back as Judge and King, and on man’s salvation from eternal damnation which is solely based on the Cross and Work of Christ, the Word of God.  Scripture is either true or the God of the Bible, who is the God of love and righteousness, mercy and justice, grace and truth, revealed by and in the Lord Jesus Christ as “Our Father who is in Heaven” is not real but a fable or figment of man's imagination.  The Bible is the absolute truth of God.
