THE BODY OF CHRIST

 

"For just as in one [physical] body we have many parts, and these parts do not all have the same function or special use, so we, who are many, are [nevertheless just] one body in Christ, and individually [we are] parts one of another [mutually dependent on each other]." (Romans 12:4-5 AMP)

Husbands, love your wives [seek the highest good for her and surround her with a caring, unselfish love], just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify the church, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word [of God], so that [in turn] He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy [set apart for God] and blameless. (Ephesians 5:25-27 AMP)

All true Christians are One Body in Christ. 

This is an amazing Spiritual Reality and Mystery in and among spiritually regenerated human beings. 

The Body of Christ is the only Eternal Treasure that the Lord Jesus Christ has on the face of the Earth. 

The True Church is the only thing He will save when He comes to destroy the entire World.

She is His prized possession and peculiar treasure, purchased by His precious and priceless Blood.

His Beloved Bride who He is returning to take back for Himself in a Heavenly, Eternal Union.

He has sealed her with His Spirit and bequeathed her with His Word. He has also deposited spiritual gifts that keep the body sustained and nourished.

The Church is a Spiritual Organism that lives by the Spirit of God and reflects the Glory of Christ.

The greatest service you can do in this life that has eternal value is service of love to the Body of Christ, broadly stated: evangelism and edification.

Love for Christ means love for His Body, regardless of the imperfections evident within the members.

By the Body of Christ, I refer not to man-made sociopolitical or socioeconomic religious constructs and organizations filled with unconverted people who seek everything but God. 

No, that is the world draped in religious regalia. 

That is carnality cloaked in religiosity. Spiritual death laying claim to spiritual life because of the material benefits obtainable therein.

As there are false Christs, so also are there false churches deceiving many with false gospels.

False preachers and false churches are a judgment on people who only want to use God to meet their physical and material needs but don’t care about their spiritual needs at all and adamantly reject God’s gracious offer of eternal life and thus salvation from eternal damnation.

False churches are not the Body of Christ but the religious presentation and extension of the world.

The True Church, however, is filled with the Spirit of God, and is focused on Christ and Him alone.

Being a member of a denomination doesn't make any person a member of the Body of Christ.

The new birth, becoming born again, makes one united to Christ and a member of His Body.

Every true believer or born again child of God is organically a member of the Body of Christ.

To do good to any child of God is to do good to Christ Himself. To plan evil against any genuine child of God is to plan evil against Christ Himself.

The false religious system conspired to kill Jesus. 

The True Church faces hatred and persecution from the world and from false religion. 

However, Christ is the One building His Church and He fortifies her against the onslaught of Darkness. 

He is preparing her for His Imminent Return. 

The Body of Christ is one, united in the Spirit. 

"There is One Lord, One Spirit and One Body."

The Church has been redeemed by Christ's Blood.

She has been cleansed and called out to be "holy" and separate from the corrupt world system. 

The Lord is coming back soon for His Bride.

She will be with Him forever in Eternal Joy.
