TRINITY: ONE GOD, THREE PERSONS

Yes, GOD IS ONE GOD and JESUS IS GOD.

THE ONE TRUE GOD revealed Himself to Man in Three Distinct Persons: Father, Son and Spirit.

This is what theologians refer to as the Trinity (Latin: Trinitas) which etymologically means tripleness. 

This was to show that the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are “numerically distinct from one another”. 

It is to contrast other heretical beliefs such as:

- Tritheism (heresy that there are three Gods) 

- Modalism (theological doctrine that there are not three distinct persons but three modes or forms of activity)

- Unitarianism (heresy that essentially denies the Diety of Jesus while denying the existence of a Triune God or the Trinity of the Godhead)

- Arianism (heresy that Jesus is not coeternal and consubstantial with God the Father)

Et cetera 

Now, kindly refer below to the citations from Scripture that substantiate the verity of the three distinct persons in the Godhead:

And after being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming upon Him, and behold, there was a voice out of the heavens saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.” (Matthew 3:16-17)

Who rescued us from the authority of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. (Colossians 1:13-15)

For in Him [Jesus] dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. (Colossians 2:9)

But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. (John 16:7)

But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak from Himself, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. (John 16:13)

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. (John 14:26)

Scripturally, concerning man’s salvation, we see an interplay of three distinct personas:

- Father loved and planned to save us

- Christ came physically to die for us

- Spirit regenerates and resides in us

In other words, in biblically identifying their distinct salvific roles:

* The Father elects

* The Son justifies 

* The Spirit sanctifies

You may wish to call it Trinity like theologians or not and we may not be able to humanly explain this particular biblical concept in all the details (no human being can dissect the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY like a laboratory specimen!) but do not be mistaken about the TRUTH as clearly stated in Scripture and don’t be distracted, derailed or deceived by any of the ignorant and arrogant heresies that deny this Truth of Scripture!

“The LORD your God is One God!”

“Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD!”

In conclusion:

There is only ONE GOD!

In Three Distinct Persons

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit

Co-equal, Co-eternal GODHEAD

The real plan of God is man’s salvation

Revealed in the Old and New Testaments

The full Revelation is centered on #Christ

CHRIST - Godhead in bodily form

CHRIST - Revelation of God to us

CHRIST - All in all; fullness of God 

This is the truth of the Godhead as revealed in #Scripture. This is what God revealed to us.

We go no further in fleshly pride, nor proceed further into human error or doctrinal heresies.

SCRIPTURE IS INERRANT AND SUFFICIENT

  The Holy Scripture is inerrant and sufficient. Inerrant simply means incapable of being wrong. Sufficient of course means enough or adequate. To deny the inerrancy of Scripture is to call into question and cast doubt on the God revealed in the Scripture, on Christ who died, rose and is coming back as Judge and King, and on man’s salvation from eternal damnation which is solely based on the Cross and Work of Christ, the Word of God.  Scripture is either true or the God of the Bible, who is the God of love and righteousness, mercy and justice, grace and truth, revealed by and in the Lord Jesus Christ as “Our Father who is in Heaven” is not real but a fable or figment of man's imagination.  The Bible is the absolute truth of God.
