HUMAN FRAILTY
God knows our human frailties.
He only requires that we be just and treat others as we would not mind being treated.
In other words, treat others fairly and justly as you would treat yourself or like to be treated also.
“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
That’s the greatest commandment of God.
No need to go offering great sacrifices or doing fancy and lofty religious ceremonies when we have not obeyed the basic laws and principles.
It is attempting to solve very complex scientific or mathematical equations without even knowing or understanding the first principles.
So again, God knows our basic human framework.
He understands the basic human need for nutrition, locomotion, exertion, restoration and copulation.
These are the things He designed for the continuity of His natural creation, namely, creatures of Nature.
Following the Fall of Man, post Creation Glory, Man has had to deal with the practical and ideological implications of his fallen human nature or state, in the order or image of the First Adam, the Earthly.
Post Redemption, his spirit is recreated in the likeness of the Second Adam, the Heavenly.
However, his soul (the faculty of his mind, will and emotions) is being progressively transformed and sanctified daily as he applies himself to spiritual growth and holistic personal development.
His body, the physical housing of his esoteric being (spirit and soul) is subject to the laws of Nature and thus to many factors from his physical environment.
What does he do as a living entity?
Eat, move, work, sleep and copulate.
That’s on the physical level.
Study Scripture and commune with the Spirit.
(“The Lord is that Spirit.”)
That’s for his spiritual life.
Rinse and repeat, on both levels.
The soul seems caught in between both worlds.
Man is a combo of humanity and spirituality.
Not necessarily a collabo of both realities.
A collabo happens when things work together towards a common goal or objective.
So, in a collabo, there is work and goals.
A combo, on the other hand, happens when things exist together in the same place or same pack and at the same time.
So, in a combo, there is space and time.
Man in himself is a combo of spirit and flesh.
Man in his relation with other human species is a collabo, interacting within the same local or global space and at the same moment or period in time.
We have human roles and responsibilities.
We have spiritual roles and responsibilities too.
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
Thank you for reading.
