POVERTY

I agree with the saying:

“Help poor people but don’t befriend them”.

There are people you must love from a distance.

E get why.

They envy you.

They can wreck you.

They will stain your white.

They will covet what you have.

They will seek to usurp your position.

They take from you but won’t support you.

They can reduce you to nothing—their level.

As the adage goes:

“If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas.”

This proverb simply means that associating with undesirable or problematic people can lead to negative consequences, even if you don't intend to be negatively affected.

Inotherwords, the company you keep can influence your character and potentially lead you astray.

I’ve said it here before.

“Help poor people but don’t befriend them”.

Just as you relate with all sorts of people but you won’t make them close friends and trusted allies.

It’s called contact without contamination.

But I clarified that poverty is not just absence of wealth but is a low-quality mindset, state of mind or attitude whether there is money or not.

The truly poor person is the one with a bad attitude.

Poverty is a disease of the mind.

Just as sin is a disease of the spirit.

So cultivate a great attitude and mindset.

Ensure that you are rich in virtue and value.

Blessings!
