GOOD WOMEN IN JESUS’ LIFE

If a good and gracious woman truly loves you and she has God’s Spirit and God’s Love in her, she will play an amazing role in your life and your mission.

If a noble and goodhearted woman loves you, she will go to lengths to support you wholeheartedly.

Several women invested their time, energy and material or physical resources in the life of Jesus while he was physically here on Earth as a man.

It is recorded in the Scripture that certain amazing women actively supported Jesus' ministry, both financially and emotionally, by following him and providing for his needs from their own resources.

Below is a list of women who played a significant role in the life and mission of the Lord himself.

1. Mary Magdalene:

She was a prominent figure, who was healed by Jesus of seven demons, and among the women who followed and supported him. A very devoted follower, she was present at Jesus' crucifixion and burial, and was the first witness to his resurrection.

2. Joanna:

She was the wife of Chuza, who was a household manager of Herod Antipas. She supported Jesus and his disciples financially and materially.

3. Susanna:

She, along with the other women, provided for Jesus and his disciples out of her own resources. She followed him from one city and village to another, serving him and his disciples.

4. Mary, mother of James and Joses:

She is mentioned in the Bible as being among the women who ministered to Jesus. She was one of the women who followed Jesus from Galilee and supported him. She was also present at his crucifixion.

6. Martha and Mary of Bethany:

They were sisters of Lazarus, and were devoted followers of Jesus. Mary was known for listening attentively to Jesus and Martha for her hospitality. While not explicitly mentioned as financial supporters, Martha and Mary of Bethany are considered important figures in Jesus' life, demonstrating their love and devotion to him.

7. The Samaritan Woman:

After the remarkable encounter Jesus had with the Samaritan woman, whose name was not mentioned in the Scripture, she became a believer and a joyful witness of his who shared her faith with others, and was instrumental in reaching her entire community.

8. Other Women:

The synoptic books of the Gospel state that there were "many other women" who had accompanied Jesus and supported his ministry. This highlights the very important role that women had played in his life and work while he walked the Earth.

Conclusion:

God has a place for everyone who makes themselves available for noble purposes.

The power or potential of good women needs to be recognized and reactivated in this generation.
