MONEY AND EMOTIONS
People need money.
People love money.
People respect money.
If you have money, you would get some people who will ‘need’, ‘love’ or ‘respect’ you.
However, you don’t necessarily have to always take it too seriously or personally.
And there’s a good reason for that.
It’s usually not about you—or just you.
Honestly, it’s more about the money.
Understandably so.
Money has tremendous power over the flesh.
This is because of the enormous amount of things money can be used to achieve on Earth.
The great influence that money can command.
The great good and otherwise it can accomplish.
The flesh of man and by extension the society in which he lives, which indeed he constructed, all bow to the gigantic and supposedly almighty power of this creation and innovation of man called money.
The secret to having power over money is to subdue “the flesh”—the human mind, emotions, desires, pursuits, perception, vision or outlook.
To curtail and control the impulses or stimuli which you absorb or digest through your mind or body that largely influence your thoughts, emotions and actions.
Emotions can be desires or dispositions: what you want or how you feel.
For example, lust and revenge are desires (what you want—to have or do), while anger and anxiety are dispositions (what you feel—about someone or something).
When money fuels the uncontrolled desires and dispositions of the flesh, dissipation and disaster are sure to occur, at different levels or stages.
In regulating the flesh, superior systems of thought and action/behavior must be imposed or superimposed on the mind and body in form of mind-building and bodybuilding regiments and recipes that help nourish, nurture, tame or transform our psychological and physical states.
As progress is made in this regard, the power of money over the flesh is diminished as a horse rider without a willing horse to ride upon.
As more progress is made, the person is better able to engage his tamed or transformed senses (desires and dispositions) to direct and channel the money at his disposal to better uses and more laudable causes, rather than let the money ride on his desires and dispositions to dictate hai cause of action, according to the whims and demands of the flesh and the interacting external influences and internal impulses.
In this way, the manipulation of money on the mind or emotions is minimized if not eliminated.
