“100 Years” is the title of an upcoming experimental science fiction film written by and starring the actor John Malkovich and directed by Robert Rodriguez. 

Produced by the French company Rémy Martin, it is intended to promote Louis XIII, their cognac which takes 100 years to create.

Louis XIII (French pronunciation: [lwi tʁɛz]) is a cognac produced by Rémy Martin, a company headquartered in Cognac, France, and owned by the Rémy Cointreau Group. 

It is the finest and most precious eaux-de-vie, made using grapes grown in Grande Champagne, the premier cru or vineyard of the Cognac region.

It is carefully aged for decades to create the cognac inside every Louis XIII Classic decanter.

Eaux-de-vie is a clear, colorless, fruit brandy that is made through fermentation and double distillation. 

The term translates to "water of life" in French.

Eaux-de-vie can be made from a wide variety of fruits, including apples, pears, raspberries, and other soft fruits.

Movie lovers should be fascinated by this!

Pending release, the film is now being kept in a high-tech safe behind bulletproof glass.

This safe has been programmed to automatically open at a specific time on November 18, 2115, the day of the film's premiere.

Amazing, right? Technology at work, oh yeah!

So what is the point of the movie “100 Years”?

Imagine a film is so exclusive that its very premier is planned and scheduled to hold a century away. 

What a trans-generational ambition of sorts! 

This is the premise of the movie whose full title is "100 Years: The Film You Will Never See".

The film was shot, edited and produced in 2015 but release date is set for 18 November 2115, in France.

Having seen the 1-minute trailer, I don’t think the film will really be all about the beverage, but the film's concept is inspired from that 100-year aging process of the said Louis XIII cognac brandy. 

If this world is still here by then, you and I won’t be.

We can only imagine it now. Or, no need for that?

We surely do have far better and more pressing things to think about right now. Right?

But this goes to show you how far Man can think.

Advanced creativity? Ambitious ideas? Okays.

What does Man look for in these kind of exotic, exquisite and expensive alcoholic beverages?

Good vibes? Happiness? Stress relief? Status?

We listen, we don’t judge. 

Or should we?

If we would judge, then we should first judge our very own selves (actions and motives) before we judge others. Yes? Charity begins where again?

"But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life." (John 4:14)

"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'" (John 7:38)

"I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.” (Revelation 21:6)

“And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.” (Revelation 22:1)

What’s the crucial point of this creative post?

The water of life represents eternal life in the Bible. 

Christ is the true water of life, and all those who believe in him have an eternal well of living water.

In 100 years from now, will you have the water of life, the true and timeless water of eternal life?

Something worth thinking honestly about.

To reiterate: Christ is the true “water of life”.

Embrace Him. Drink of Him. Think of Him.
