GOOD FRIENDS ARE GREAT WEALTH

I’ll begin this piece of writing with five quotes on friends and friendship.

“There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship.” (Thomas Aquinas)

“There are three things that grow more precious with age; old wood to burn, old books to read, and old friends to enjoy.” (Henry Ford)

“Friendship is a wildly underrated medication.” (Anna Deavere Smith)

“A true friend never gets in your way unless you happen to be going down.” (Arnold H. Glasgow)

“A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked.” (Bernard Meltzer)

A true friend is someone who genuinely understands your past (honest history), accepts your present (current condition), and believes in your future (potential possibilities), and is thus truly eager to add beneficial or useful value to your life in their own capacity to enhance or improve your life and wellbeing.

Good friends are like stars. You don't always see them, but you know that they are always there. They are the real stars and celebrities in your own world.

Being a true friend is both a privilege and a responsibility.

There are minimum requirements or prerequisites for true and sustainable friendship such: honesty, shared values, care, love, mutual respect, loyalty, goodwill, generosity, authenticity, vulnerability, trustworthiness, reciprocity, confidentiality, tolerance, forgiveness, patience, availability, commitment, communication, appreciation, encouragement, sharing, support, etc.

Good friends are a formidable support system. They are indeed great wealth, true riches, powerful resources and the foremost human capital in this life which is full of personal and social challenges.

True friends are and indeed become one’s functional family.

Friendship is about genuine connection, concern, care, communication, collaboration, commitment and covering or confidentiality (privacy protection).

Good friends help each other to grow, build and become better in every possible way they can.

What a blessing to be a good friend and to have good friends in this present time and age.

May God make us true and trusted friends.

May God bless us with true and trusted friends.

Now the questions to ponder on are:

ARE YOU A TRUE FRIEND?

DO YOU HAVE TRUE FRIENDS?

Let me also end with five quotes about friends and friendship.

“Friends are medicine for a wounded heart, and vitamins for a hopeful soul.” (Steve Maraboli)

“Friendship isn’t a big thing — it’s a million little things.” (Paulo Coelho)

“A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.” (Walter Winchell)

“One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and to be understood.” (Lucius Annaeus Seneca)

“One loyal friend is worth ten thousand relatives.” (Euripides)
