STRENGTH IN WEAKNESS
Sometimes what seems to be a weakness to the undiscerning eye is simply an inverted strength. Hidden within certain adjudged imperfections are powerful underlying riches. A shortcoming may actually turn out to even be a saving grace or serving girdle. As the adage goes: “Every disappointment is a blessing in disguise.” A similar saying captures it in more spiritually profound terms: “Man’s disappointments are God’s appointments.” These are potentially far-reaching blessings and benefits, or areas of strength, locked up in seeming vulnerabilities. I will outline three below. 1 - Overcoming Offenses : The laidback, mellow and tolerant nature of not fighting back when triggered. The refusal to, or restraint from, reacting aggressively to acute hostility or deliberate provocation.
