Due to the prevalence of poverty, many preachers and professed 'Christians' have made a priority of prosperity over and above authentic spirituality (the simple, honest and wholehearted devotion to Christ that yields Christ-likeness or the fruit of the Spirit, which is in all goodness, righteousness and truth). To be clear, it is righteousness  (with its integral elements of social justice and cultural ethics, in a sociocultural and socioeconomic context)  that exalts a nation. Sin or lawlessness is a reproach to any society. Thus, an altogether prosperous nation, abundant in resources of varied sorts, without social justice and cultural ethics (namely, the culture of rightness, uprightness or righteousness), will be ruined by entrenched and endemic corruption and social injustice, largely through misappropriation of funds and mismanagement of their abundant and varied resources. What really is the be-all and end-all of life? Permit me to offer my contemplative commentary on this. Life is about knowing, loving and glorifying God with our lives and growing progressively in our experience and expression of our God-given graces and gifts. (John 8: 12) The One who is the True Light , who gives light to everyone, was going to come into the world. (John 1: 9)     When we talk about true vision , what do we mean? And how do we know if we possess true vision? When Man fell in Eden, he lost true vision and began to see his nakedness. Notice the vital question God asked Adam: “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten the fruit I commanded you not to eat?” (Genesis 3: 11) God was saying that Adam had either been deceived to believe the wrong thing, or he had lost his true vision, that is, his perception of or capacity for truth. WHO ARE YOU? I know you are black ‘n’ beautiful – or You may be white ‘n’ wonderful, But who are you? I can see your smiling, beaming face. I hear your stifled, excited chuckle. All the marvelous talk and fine dressing. Calculated gestures and memorized recitations, Civilized mannerisms and impressive felicitations, And all what you have going for you, But still I ask, who are you?

Be holy. Don't be legalistic. Holiness is pure, selfless and lovely. Legalism is complicated, selfish and loveless. It's the devil that makes holiness unattractive and thus undesirable. God's kind of holiness is beautiful. Worship God in the beauty of His holiness and receive His grace and Spirit to wholeheartedly love Him and live for Him. Holiness is beautiful. Holiness is love. Holiness is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. It is only the Holy Spirit that can make us holy not the Law and not our religious rules and regulations. The fallen self in humanity cannot be holy only the life-giving Spirit within God's true sons. Be holy not as religious folks are holy but as God is holy. True holiness is the God-kind of holiness. It is by the Spirit not of the flesh. It is a supernatural work of God's never-failing grace. Make Jesus your authentic holiness model.
