WHOLESOME LEADERSHIP




When or where there is competition, contention or fault-finding rather than cooperation, appreciation and team-building, then and there will there be a markedly limited communal or social development. 

Now, this is often a sign of lack of true leadership. 

It is not necessarily lack of technical skill, expertise, competence, experience or even management.

Leadership is like a lid or stopper which determines the overall rise or fall of communities and countries.

No nation or organization can rise above the level of leadership that they have.

This is in line with the Leadership Law of the Lid as described by leadership expert John C. Maxwell.

The law states that a leader's effectiveness is limited by their leadership ability, which acts as a "lid" on their potential and the potential of their team or organization. 

It means one's capacity to lead directly influences how far their followers and the entire endeavor can meaningfully or authentically make good progress.

Leadership capability is thus essentially the lid that determines a person's level of effectiveness. 

The lower a person's capacity to lead, the lower the lid on their potential.

Honing leadership ability is rare because it involves a great deal of selflessness, emotional maturity and multilateral intelligence.

People will rather be served than volunteer to serve with grace, dignity, and without complaining, grumbling, prejudice, partiality, pettiness or personal interest.

When emotionally mature and secure, purposeful and cooperative individuals in a great team are all developing their leadership abilities, then they can practice full-rotation, perigon or 360-degree leadership.

Where there is true and wholesome leadership, there is always knowledge sharing, continuous learning and improvement, serving, empathy, applied understanding, effective communication, community growth, human capital development, conscientiousness, accountability, cooperation, collaboration, mutual support, appreciation, team-building, empowerment and synergy.

To supplant means to take the place of, to displace, to replace or to undermine.  To support is to be actively interested in and concerned for the success of a person or thing, for example: supporting a particular sports team.
