THE LAMB IS THE KING
The Lamb is the Lion of Judah
The Lamb of God that was slain
They didn’t know His spiritual identity
They saw a carpenter, a commoner
They saw a lamb—feeble, fragile, frail
They saw quiet and muted mini-animal
They saw a man without connections
They saw a fellow isolated from others
They saw a man abandoned by friends
They viewed a man without loved ones
They saw a man deserted by disciples
They saw a weak and vulnerable one
They saw an easy prey; they closed in
They entered the trap that was set
Those who set up had been set up
They knew He had power with God
They saw He had favor with God
They heard Him speak God’s truth
They saw Him express God’s love
They deemed it a contradiction
They couldn’t comprehend Him
They concluded He was a fraud
They hoped that they were right
They presumptuously slayed Him
They framed and accused Him badly
They were tools in the hands of Satan
They didn’t know what they were doing
In their pride and hardness, they did evil
In an illusion of control, they’re puppets
They must fulfill a part and so be judged
But we behold the Lamb of God
Who was slain for the sins of man
Innocent and sinless,
He bore the sinner’s guilt
He gave Himself to rescue His own
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain!
Let this mind be in you
Let this truth be in you
Let this life and love live through you…
Have you read the Script? Does it sync?
To God be the glory. Blessed be the LORD.
