FALSE SENSE OF ETERNAL SECURITY

Does walking an aisle in response to an “altar call” automatically mean a person is saved?

Does repeating or reciting a “sinner’s prayer” bestow eternal life to anyone who does so?

*******

Any preacher that assures a soul of salvation…

Because they responded to an “altar call”…

Or repeated a ‘prayer’ recital after them…

May be toying with the eternal fate of souls…

By offering them a false sense of “salvation”…

Without them hearing the true gospel of Christ.

Without them seeing their real need of a Savior.

Without them truly putting their faith in Jesus.

Without God’s birthing of saving faith in them.

Without the working of the Spirit in their heart.

Without sowing the message of Christ in them.

Without the mighty work of the Cross of Christ.

Without Christ’s death, burial and resurrection.

Without the opening of the eye to see Jesus.

Without genuine work of repentance from sin.

Without truly surrendering to the Lord Jesus.

Without the revelation of God’s love and grace.

*******

One of the falsehoods of the last days…

Will be false salvation or false conversions…

Which are direct products of false gospels.

Most assuredly, as foretold by Christ…

“For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets…”

Yes, false Christianity and false proclamations or professions of Christianity…

False pastors, false churches, false Christians.

*******

Beware of a false sense of eternal security.

“Make certain your election…”

If you must play with anything…

If you will be unsure about anything…

If we’re unbothered about anything…

Certainly not our own priceless soul.

Certainly not our eternal destination.

Surely not the salvation of our souls.

Surely not our knowledge of Christ.

Definitely not our relationship with God.

No, no, no!

STOP!

*******

Oh, my soul, be you not an eternal fool…

When it is time for the Lord to recall you…

Out of this passing time into permanent timelessness.

Selah!

Use this time to make peace or union with God.

Humble yourself in your lifetime to know God.

Empty yourself of the pride of life to learn Christ.

Make sure you’re aligning yourself to the Lord.

Assume not. Presume not.

Think. Rethink.

“Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.” (NIV)

“Therefore, believers, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you [be sure that your behavior reflects and confirms your relationship with God]; for by doing these things [actively developing these virtues], you will never stumble [in your spiritual growth and will live a life that leads others away from sin].” (AMP)

“Test yourselves to discover whether you are true believers: put your own selves under examination. Or do you not know that Jesus Christ is within you, unless you are insincere?” (WNT)

“Try your own selves, whether ye are in the faith; prove your own selves. Or know ye not as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed ye be reprobate.” (ASV)

To God be the glory.
