THE LAW OF CHRIST
“The Law of Christ is Love.” Godly Love. “God is Love.” Holy Love. Perfect Love. The above (in quotation) are biblical truth. This kind of Love is the fruit of the Spirit of Christ and of the recreated or regenerated human spirit. Truth, Justice and Mercy are attributes of this Love. This Love is the Life and Walk in the Spirit of God. When we do things contrary to this Life (as we may sometimes do), we are acting out of character and the Holy Spirit of our Heavenly Father cautions and corrects us with His Truth, which are all done in Love. This is a core difference between man’s religiosity and God’s spirituality: the rich, real, relevant and robust ministry of the Holy Spirit of the Living God. Unlike most of the religious Pharisees back then in the early and earthly days of Jesus who knew the letter of the Law so well but didn’t have (and thus weren’t led by) the Spirit of God—because they were truly (spiritually) disconnected from God.
